Softball Recap: Brewbaker Tech Comes Up Short

Brewbaker Tech blew Chiles out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Chiles got their revenge. The Rams fell just short of the Timberwolves by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rams have suffered since March 29, 2025.

Kyra Wallace was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Brewbaker Tech and nudges their season record down to 1-3. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Chiles, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Brewbaker Tech didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-5 loss against North Bay Haven Academy on the 7th. As for Chiles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-11 defeat against Bishop Kenny on the 7th.
