Venice extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Amelia Anselmi. The Indians walked away with a 3-1 win over the Riverview Sarasota Rams on Thursday for which the team can thank Anselmi, who had 40 assists and eight digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 15 times she's played.

Venice had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-19.

Venice's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Riverview Sarasota, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-14.

As of now, neither Venice nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
