Volleyball Recap: Nickerson Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

If Larned wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Nickerson, they should've done a better job of containing Denae Engelland. The Panthers came out on top against the Indians by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Engelland, who had 22 assists and seven digs. She has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more assists the last three times she's played.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Nickerson was: they took both sets by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-7.

Nickerson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-17 record this season. As for Larned, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Nickerson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Smoky Valley on the 2nd. As for Larned, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Haven on the 30th.
