Volleyball Recap: Elkhart Christian Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Ryleigh Viront and Addy Trovatore

Elkhart Christian Academy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Glenn Falcons, falling 3-0. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

While Elkhart Christian Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 25-16.

Elkhart Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Addy Trovatore and Ryleigh Viront. Trovatore had 14 digs, while Viront had 12 digs and nine kills. Viront is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 39 games she's played dating back to last season.

Elkhart Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Glenn, their victory bumped their record up to 21-8.

When Elkhart Christian Academy and Glenn next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Eagles will try to stop Westview's three-game winning streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Glenn will square off against Plymouth and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on the 16th.
