After a string of four wins, Berlin's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Amity Regional Spartans by a score of 1-0.

Kaley Alkas paced Berlin's offense, picking up two kills. Alkas got some help from Caroline Niemiec and her three assists. Alkas was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Berlin's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Amity Regional, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Berlin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against New Britain on the 17th. As for Amity Regional, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 loss against Woodland Regional on the 11th.
