Volleyball Recap: Brockport Blue Devils vs. Irondequoit Eagles
Brockport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Irondequoit Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.
The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Irondequoit scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17.
Brockport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Irondequoit, they now have a winning record of 7-6-2.
Brockport will venture away from home to take on Churchville-Chili at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Irondequoit, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss vs. Webster Schroeder on the 28th.
