When it comes to explaining why American Leadership Academy lost, don't look at CJ Christopher Williams. Despite the final result, he went 13 of 28 en route to 43 points in addition to four steals and three blocks. The contest was Williams' third in a row with at least ten points. Porter Jones was another key player, putting up eight points.

American Leadership Academy's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4. As for Academy with Community Partners, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

American Leadership Academy will venture away from home to square off against Sonoran Science Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Academy with Community Partners, they will welcome Skyline - Gila River at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Academy with Community Partners has won ten straight at home dating back to last season, while Skyline - Gila River won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
