Baseball Game Preview: New Site Royals vs. Belmont Cardinals

New Site and Belmont are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. New Site will welcome Belmont at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither New Site nor Belmont posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Friday, New Site came up short against East Union and fell 7-2. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Site saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylan Stanley, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Belmont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Alcorn Central, falling 7-1.

Belmont's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for New Site, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.

New Site skirted past Belmont 5-3 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Does New Site have another victory up their sleeve, or will Belmont turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
