Preview: St. Johns Classical Academy Lions vs. St. Johns Country Day Spartans

The St. Johns Classical Academy Lions will be playing at home against the St. Johns Country Day Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.

St. Johns Classical Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Covenant School of Jacksonville 72-42 at home. The victory was just what St. Johns Classical Academy needed coming off of a 76-31 loss in their prior game.

Meanwhile, St. Johns Country Day put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Christ's Church Academy 60-36. Winning may never get old, but St. Johns Country Day sure is getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Johns Country Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elliot Graham, who scored 13 points along with five steals. Logan Reese was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.

St. Johns Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for St. Johns Country Day, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

St. Johns Classical Academy was dealt a bruising 87-33 loss at the hands of St. Johns Country Day in their previous meeting two weeks ago. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of St. Johns Country Day's Camden Cooper, who scored 25 points.
