Volleyball Recap: Overhills Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Pine Forest on Tuesday, Overhills came back down to earth. The Jaguars lost 3-0 to the Hoke County Bucks on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bucks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 9th.

While Overhills was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 25-14.

Ally Williams paced Overhills' offense, picking up 16 kills. Williams got some help from Sophia Singh and her 17 assists. Williams was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Overhills has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Hoke County, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Overhills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Pinecrest on the 30th. As for Hoke County, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Pine Forest on the 30th.
