Volleyball Recap: Willow Spring Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Willow Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Fuquay - Varina Bengals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Storm of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Willow Spring started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-30, 25-21, 25-16, 25-16.

Willow Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Fuquay - Varina, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-4.

Coming up, Willow Spring will welcome Garner at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fuquay - Varina, they will face off against Clayton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Bengals their first taste of in-conference action this season.
