Baseball Game Preview: Coffee County Central Red Raiders vs. Spring Hill Raiders

For the second straight game, Coffee County Central will face off against Spring Hill. The Red Raiders will host the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Coffee County Central is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Coffee County Central didn't have quite enough to beat Spring Hill and fell 8-7.

For Spring Hill's part, Ethan Christie tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave Christie a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Clay Robinson was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Gary Cox, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Spring Hill and bumps their season record up to 7-9. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Coffee County Central, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.
