Erie barely beat Brighton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers' defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 5-0 shutout on Saturday. The result was nothing new for Erie, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Brighton with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gianna Barela (2), Ava McGehan, Beatrice Carey, and Taylin Maynes.

Erie's win bumped their record up to 9-4-2. As for Brighton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Looking ahead, Erie will face off against Northfield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Erie's defense better be ready for this one: Northfield have averaged an impressive 5.2 goals per game this season. Brighton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
