Baseball Recap: Millsap Takes a Loss

Millsap was the 12-2 winner over Eastland when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday.

Brogan Sims was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Corey Goen was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Millsap's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Eastland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-9-2 record this season.

While Millsap had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
