Volleyball Recap: Silver Creek Takes a Loss

Silver Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Mead Mavericks. The Raptors were not able to make up for their loss to the Mavericks from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Silver Creek was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Mead's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-18.

Silver Creek's offense was headlined by Rebecca Spagnoletti and Avery White, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Susan Campie and her six assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Mead's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmy Tecu, who had six digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Alana Costello, who had six digs and three aces.

Silver Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Mead, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
