Football Game Preview: Eureka Hornets vs. El Paso-Gridley Titans

The Eureka Hornets will head out to square off against the El Paso-Gridley Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Eureka blew Shelbyville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Shelbyville got their revenge. The Hornets fell just short of the Rams by a score of 20-17.

Meanwhile, El Paso-Gridley strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Tremont 38-6. Surprisingly, this marked the Titans' eighth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Eureka's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for El Paso-Gridley, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Eureka strolled past El Paso-Gridley when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a score of 14-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
