Basketball Recap: Waxahachie Takes a Loss

Waxahachie lost against DeSoto back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Waxahachie Indians took a 53-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the DeSoto Eagles. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Waxahachie lost, don't look at Kamarie Hardeman. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most points Hardeman has posted since back in November of 2024. Kiylah Long-Sattarphai was another key player, putting up six points and six boards.

Even though they lost, Waxahachie smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Waxahachie's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for DeSoto, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-13.

Waxahachie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 37-34 win against Horn on the 24th. DeSoto has also already played their next contest, a 57-47 defeat against Duncanville on the 24th.
