Softball Recap: Tallmadge Wins Going Away Against Roosevelt

Tallmadge won the last time they faced Roosevelt and things went their way on Monday too. The Blue Devils blew past the Rough Riders 10-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Caitlyn Carter looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Leila Staszak and Sophia Kroah did most of the damage at the plate: Staszak scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Kroah went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Marissa Charton was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Tallmadge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roosevelt only posted a batting average of .333.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-5. As for Roosevelt, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Tallmadge wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-7 victory against Copley on the 9th. As for Roosevelt, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-7 loss against Revere on the 9th.
