Soccer Recap: Hanford Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Hanford was not quite Pasco's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Hanford can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Pasco are ranked 25th).

Hanford has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Pasco, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hanford will challenge rival Richland at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Pasco is set to take on their familiar foe Southridge at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
