Soccer Game Preview: Altavista vs. Chatham

Altavista is 0-10 against Chatham since May of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Colonels will be playing at home against the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Altavista and Dan River had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Colonels fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Chatham has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 1st. They and Galileo finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for Chatham as it spelled an end to their four-match losing streak.

Chatham's draw gives them a new season record of 4-11-2. As for Altavista, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7-3.
