Baseball Recap: Hudson Triumphs

While Hudson put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Madisonville. Hudson walked away with a 3-0 victory over Madisonville. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Hudson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alberto Ibarra, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most hits Ibarra has posted since back in February.

The victory got Hudson back to even at 9-9-1. As for Madisonville, they dropped their record down to 13-11-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hudson will square off against Rusk at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Hudson 3.5, Rusk 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Madisonville, they will face off against Bullard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bullard's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Madisonville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
