Baseball Recap: Loudon Takes a Loss

Loudon lost to Lenoir City back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Redskins took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Redskins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Loudon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Albright, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Loudon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Lenoir City, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-17.

Looking ahead, Loudon will host South-Doyle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cherokees have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.08 runs per game on average), something the Redskins will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lenoir City, they will head out on the road to challenge McMinn County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
