North Wilkes came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the East Surry Cardinals, falling 4-0. The loss continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost seven in a row.

North Wilkes' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for East Surry, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Looking ahead, North Wilkes will head out to take on East Wilkes at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Surry, they will square off against North Surry at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
