Soccer Game Preview: Forest vs. Horizon

The Forest Wildcats will face off against the Horizon Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Forest is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand Lake Minneola a 3-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on seven straight.

They hit Lake Minneola with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Rylynn Robinson, Kierstyn Foskey, and Anna Bernard.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Horizon faced off against South Lake on Monday. Horizon blew past South Lake 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Forest has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 47 goals over those ten games. As for Horizon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.

Forest skirted past Horizon 1-0 in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. Does Forest have another victory up their sleeve, or will Horizon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
