Basketball Recap: Cole Taylor's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northeast Academy over Trinity Christian

Northeast Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost to the Trinity Christian Tigers on the road by a 55-39 margin.

Northeast Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cole Taylor, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards. Mason Vann was another key player, putting up eight points along with 14 rebounds and five assists.

Northeast Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Trinity Christian, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast Academy will square off against Southampton Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Trinity Christian, they will face off against Pitt County P at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
