Baseball Game Preview: Crater Comets vs. Churchill Lancers

The Crater Comets will challenge the Churchill Lancers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crater is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Crater fell victim to Washington Union and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 8-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Comets were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Churchill didn't have quite enough to beat Ashland on Saturday and fell 4-3.

Churchill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Barajas, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Crater's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Churchill, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Crater skirted past Churchill 6-5 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
