Basketball Recap: Taylor Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Victory

Taylor had won four straight games and James Thomas did his part to make it five on Friday. The Taylor Wildcats claimed a resounding 54-19 win over the Warner Christian Academy Eagles thanks in part to Thomas, who went 10 of 15 on his way to 21 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. He has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times he's played.

Josue Lorenzo was another key player, putting up five points along with 11 boards and four blocks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Taylor pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Warner Christian Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
