Softball Preview: Westlake Wolverines vs. North Point Eagles

Westlake is 0-10 against North Point since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Westlake Wolverines will be staying on the road to face off against the North Point Eagles at 4:30 p.m.

Monday just wasn't the day for Westlake's offense. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 16-0 walloping at the hands of Northern on Monday.

Meanwhile, North Point was able to grind out a solid win over Patuxent on Tuesday, taking the game 9-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Point.

Alyssa Blaney made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Blaney has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than six innings every time she's pitched this season. Blaney was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
