Kiowa came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Bethune Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Kiowa walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Jules Montgomery and Bernice Summers, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Rylee Wyer and her 27 assists. Summers also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hayden Giles, racking up three apiece.

Bethune lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Sujeily Landaverde, who had 11 digs and two aces. Peyton Killian also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Kiowa's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Bethune, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Kiowa and The Colorado Springs School will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bethune, they will be playing at home against Flagler at 5:30 p.m. on the 27th.
