While Palmyra-Macedon's victory against Newark wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Raiders had just enough and edged out the Reds 4-3 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Red Raiders have posted since May 8, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Ryan Caffyn, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Palmyra-Macedon pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Newark, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coincidentally, Palmyra-Macedon and Newark will both be playing Mynderse Academy the next time they take the field. The Red Raiders will host the Blue Devils at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Reds will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
