Basketball Game Preview: Strong Bulldogs vs. Emerson Pirates

The Strong Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Emerson Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Strong and five for Emerson.

Last Friday, Strong was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to Columbia Christian. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (55), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Emerson fought the good fight in their overtime match against Bradley on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 69-61 to the Bears.

Strong's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Emerson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-15.

Strong beat Emerson 58-51 in their previous matchup back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Strong since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
