Baseball Recap: Lakewood Ranch Takes a Loss

Lakewood Ranch lost against Parrish Community back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lakewood Ranch fell just short of Parrish Community by a score of 4-3. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakewood Ranch got a good showing from Chase Skarbek, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Lakewood Ranch saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luis Flores, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Jackson Skogland also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Lakewood Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Parrish Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Lakewood Ranch will face off against Sarasota at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sarasota will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Lakewood Ranch surely won't give up without a fight. As for Parrish Community, they will challenge Braden River at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
