Baseball Recap: Walnut Ridge Takes a Loss

Walnut Ridge fell victim to Athens and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Walnut Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Athens, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4.

Coming up, Walnut Ridge will host Newport at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Athens, they will head out on the road to square off against Muscle Shoals at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
