East Surry has gone 9-1 against Surry Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The East Surry Cardinals will host the Surry Central Golden Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Surry took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They came out on top against West Wilkes by a score of 60-48. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 267th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Surry Central hadn't done well against North Surry recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Surry Central walked away with a 46-35 win over North Surry.

East Surry is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points over those games. As for Surry Central, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
