Softball Recap: Livingston Snags 12th Victory in Last 15 Games

There's no place like home for Livingston, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Hargrave Falcons on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Livingston let Corinne Henderson and Taylor Wright run wild. Henderson went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three runs, while Wright scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Those three hits gave Henderson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Garcia, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Livingston has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Hargrave, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-11.

Coincidentally, Livingston and Hargrave will both be playing Hardin-Jefferson the next time they take the field. The Falcons will host the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
