Cache's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Altus, sneaking past 12-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Cache considering their two-run performance the contest before.

The team relied heavily on Brody Smith, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Mason Carrisalez was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Cache is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Altus, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cache will welcome Plainview at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Altus, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Duncan at 5:00 p.m. The Demons' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
