Preview: Osmond/Randolph Hawks vs. Stuart Broncos

The Osmond/Randolph Hawks will be playing at home against the Stuart Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Osmond/Randolph has three straight victories, Stuart has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 20 to 7 on the offensive boards, a fact Osmond/Randolph proved on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 44-25 victory over Wausa. Osmond/Randolph pushed the score to 38-18 by the end of the third, a deficit Wausa cut but never quite recovered from.

Osmond/Randolph can attribute much of their success to Keli Aschoff, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, and Kaleigh Miller, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds. Aschoff is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 58-29, which was the final score in Stuart's tilt against Ainsworth on Tuesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Stuart in their matchups with Ainsworth: they've now lost five in a row.

Osmond/Randolph's win bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Stuart, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Osmond/Randolph, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-28 loss to Stuart when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Osmond/Randolph have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
