 Smithfield scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Saturday. They blew past the St. Mary Academy-Bay View Bengals 11-4. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest  win of the  season.
  Crystal Cacador made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Cacador has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Cacador was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs while going 1-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Skyla Oliveira, who  scored three  runs while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Madison Kennedy, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Smithfield's victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-6. As for St. Mary Academy-Bay View, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost seven of their last eight matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record  this season.
 Smithfield will be playing at home against Cumberland at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Smithfield is facing Cumberland at the right time seeing as Cumberland is stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for St. Mary Academy-Bay View, they will head out on the road to  face off against  North Kingstown at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. St. Mary Academy-Bay View and North Kingstown are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
