Softball Recap: Morgan's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Morgan never let their opponents score on Friday. They came out on top against the River View Black Bears by a score of 4-0. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Black Bears last Monday, they had to take a 6-5 loss.

Allia Rush made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Myka Augenstein, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one double.

Morgan lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Morgan moved to 5-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for River View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
