Custer County had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it six. They took a hard 47-32 fall against the Lockwood LIONS. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the LIONS apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Perhaps the best among them was Rylin Gentry, who threw for 322 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. The Cowboys' leading receiver Jake Phalen was Gentry's top target yet again, picking up 182 receiving yards and one score.
