Flag Football Recap: Drew Charter Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Drew Charter's offense. They lost 25-0 to the Jonesboro Cardinals on Thursday. Drew Charter has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaysie Dailey was her usual excellent self, rushing for 110 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, while also picking up 45 receiving yards for Jonesboro. Dailey's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked her third straight game with at least 110 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Brianna Mason, who threw for 112 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten passes.

Drew Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Jonesboro, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Drew Charter will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on The Weber School at 6:00 p.m. on the 10th. As for Jonesboro, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 36-0 victory against Clarkston on the 30th.
