Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sumter County). Everything went their way against the Carver Tigers on Friday as the Sumter County Panthers made off with a 76-55 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 21 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Carver lost, don't look at Kayden Cooper. Despite the final result, she posted 20 points. Cooper is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Janyla Russ, who earned ten points and three steals.

Sumter County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.2 points. As for Carver, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-8.

Sumter County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 44-38 victory against Spencer on the 18th. As for Carver, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-40 win against Shaw on the 20th.
