Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop Guilfoyle). They claimed a resounding 49-7 victory over the Central Dragons. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 20-0.

Justin Wheeler was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 97 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 165 yards and one TD. What's more, he racked up 121 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Keegan Hewitt, who rushed for 60 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Bishop Guilfoyle proved: they limited Central to a paltry 3.1 yards per carry. Bishop Guilfoyle didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Tyson Lestochi led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Kissell was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks, making 13 total tackles, and defending one pass.

Bishop Guilfoyle pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.8 points on average over those games. As for Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
