Softball Preview: Beulah Bobcats vs. Lee-Scott Academy Warriors

The Beulah Bobcats will face off against the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row dating back to last season, Beulah turned things around against Dadeville on Tuesday. They blew past the Tigers 9-3. The Bobcats not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 9, 2024.

Madyson Snedigar made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time she hasn't allowed a single hit since back in February of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base was her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emmie Hartzog, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Karlee Baker, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Lee-Scott Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Beulah, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
