Recap: Vina Red Devils vs. Hackleburg Panthers
The Vina Red Devils lost against the Hackleburg Panthers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Vina took a hard 62-45 fall against Hackleburg. Vina has not had much luck with Hackleburg recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Vina saw an underclassman step up: Lana Bell scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Kaley Attaway was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.
Vina's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Hackleburg, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Vina will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Berry at 5:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Hackleburg, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Colbert Heights at 5:30 p.m. Colbert Heights has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18.
