Volleyball Game Preview: Haverhill Hillies vs. Central Catholic Raiders

The Haverhill Hillies will head out to take on the Central Catholic Raiders at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Haverhill lost 3-0 to Chelmsford on Monday. The Hillies have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-16, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Central Catholic had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Rangers.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Central Catholic got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 22-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-4.

Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Haverhill, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Haverhill couldn't quite get it done against Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 3-1. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Raiders' Mia Romansik, who had 22 digs and two aces.
