Baseball Recap: Coalgate Find Success

Coalgate took an eight-run loss the last time they faced off against Crowder, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Demons 9-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since March 10th.

The win made it two in a row for Coalgate and bumps their season record up to 9-10. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Crowder, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Coalgate will have a chance to go back-to-back against Crowder: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
