Basketball Recap: Elgin Takes a Loss

After flying high against Southeast on Friday, Elgin came back down to earth. The Elgin Owls were dealt a 59-29 loss at the hands of the Guymon Tigers on Saturday. The Owls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2018.

Elgin has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Guymon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

While Elgin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
