Baseball Recap: McNairy Central Comes Up Short

The McNairy Central Bobcats came up short against the East Union Urchins on Friday, falling 14-5.

McNairy Central saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Case Rickman, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Rickman has brought in this season.

McNairy Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for East Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McNairy Central will welcome Riverside at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Union, they will challenge Water Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Urchins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Devils have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
