Edmeston Central fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Oxford Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 68-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oxford Academy Blackhawks. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Edmeston Central lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Braymon Clark, who posted 18 points. Gavin Zinger was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Edmeston Central fell to 9-1. As for Oxford Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
